Stern, Ph.D. is Clinical Professor (Adjunct) and Consultant/Supervisor, NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy; Training and Supervising Analyst, and member of the Faculty, William Alanson White Institute; Board of Directors, International Association of Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy; Editor, "Psychoanalysis in a New Key" Book Series from Routledge; Former Editor-in-Chief, Contemporary Psychoanalysis; Author, Unformulated Experience: From Dissociation to Imagination in Psychoanalysis (The Analytic Press, 1997) and Partners in Thought: Working with Unformulated Experience, Dissociation, and Enactment (Routledge, 2010). Co-editor of The Handbook of Interpersonal Psychoanalysis (The Analytic Press, 1995) and Pioneers of Interpersonal Psychoanalysis (The Analytic Press, also 1995). Associate Editor, Psychoanalytic Dialogues. Member of the Editorial Boards of Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association, Psychoanalytic Inquiry, and Psychoanalytic Psychology.
