Process Group: Examining Whiteness
In order to participate in meaningful intrapsychic, interpersonal, institutional, and systemic change regarding race and racism, white people have specific work to do in examining and dislodging the unconscious messaging of whiteness.
Examining Whiteness is a process group for white people to:
- Look deeply at the historical context of whiteness and white supremacy
- Listen to a diversity of Black and Brown voices via historical and contemporary videos and articles
- Move through common responses white people experience when talking about race and racism, such as shame, defensiveness, and overwhelm
- Identify ongoing, anti-racist action steps
Details
- 6 weekly sessions via Zoom
- Next group begins Monday, March 1 from 5:30-7p CST
- $350/sliding scale available - for information about our fee redistribution, please see:
www.examiningwhiteness.org/fees-reallocation
