2025-2026 Fellowship
Do you know a bright early-career leader, educator, or researcher interested in psychoanalysis and how it relates to their field? Please refer them to the Fellowship Program.
APsA's Fellowship Program is an early-career initiative aimed at future leaders and educators in fields of academia, mental health, psychiatry, psychology, social work, and multidisciplinary endeavors. The program offers a unique opportunity to gain knowledge about psychoanalysis and engage with the local and national psychoanalytic communities.
Please note that psychoanalytic candidates are not eligible for the fellowship because of their ready access to mentors and scientific activities at local and national levels.
The benefits of applying for and winning the Fellowship are:
Applicants
All applicants will receive complimentary registration to APsA's 114th Virtual Annual Meeting (June 13-15, 2025) and the 2026 National Meeting (January 27 – February 1, 2026 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco). This benefit is only available to first-time applicants.
Fellowship Winners
Winners will have their travel, hotel (double occupancy), and meals covered for APsA's 2026 National Meeting in San Francisco. Fellows will attend scientific sessions and be invited to present clinical, research, and other material at a variety of seminars and workshops. Additionally, they will be paired with an APsA mentor, with the option to request a second mentor to further support their professional development. Fellowship winners will also receive subscriptions to several psychoanalytic publications. APsA's Fellowship program provides the opportunity to form relations with APsA members and other Fellows from across the country.
Visit the Fellowship website more information.
The Ernst and Gertrude Ticho Memorial Award and Lecture
The Ernst and Gertrude Ticho Memorial Award and Lecture recognizes and fosters the work of a promising early-career psychoanalyst who has made contributions to the field through teaching, writing, research, and applied and/or clinical work.
Please note that the Ticho Award is open only to APsA members.
