Psychoanalytic Evenings

The Austin faculty members of CFPS have hosted a series of gatherings to explore psychoanalytic topics. These evenings are meant to provide clinical psychoanalytic perspectives to clinicians at all levels and to show what CFPS seminars are like to those who might be interested in further in-depth training. All evenings are held in the homes or offices of the hosting psychoanalysts and are free of charge, although preregistration is required. In order to promote better discussion, the size of each gathering will be limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Training Opportunities

Since September 2017, we've offered training in Austin in three different programs. Training is open to all mental health practitioners who hold a license to practice in Texas. All programs offer a comprehensive curriculum consisting of three seminars weekly, May through September, covering psychoanalytic theory and technique and integrating contemporary, historical, and developmental perspectives.
